A day of stormy, wet and cool weather was rather inspirationless in terms of photography. I have misplaced my wet weather gear and after a long day at work, didn’t feel like heading out into the miserable evening to take photos. Instead, I had a look through some of my previous shots and found this one- Blowin’ in the Breeze.
This is one of my all time favourites. It was taken at one of my most regularly visited holiday spots, Kiama NSW. It’s a small village about half an hour from Wollongong with cute little shops, great cafes, a few beaches and a lighthouse. I usually stay in a unit right on Bombo Beach, where I’ve seen dolphins and many a good sunrise. It’s quiet and a great place to relax and have a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
I took this photograph at Bombo Beach a few years ago, and then cross-processed it. I love the colours in the background, the sand and water. Wouldn’t it be great to be there now. The sun and the surf, I think I need a holiday 🙂
